Opening the admission period for the second edition of the "Master in Economic Crime and Anticorruption Investigation" (II MECACI)

We are opening the admission period for applications from other institutions and organizations, both national and international, for the second edition of the "Master in Economic Crime and Anticorruption Investigation" (II MECACI). This program is offered by the Centro Universitario de la Guardia Civil (CUGC) with participation from the Unidad Central Operativa (UCO) of the Guardia Civil, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), and other institutions and organizations related to Security and Justice.
This Master's program, taught in English, is an official 60 ECTS European postgraduate university degree. Like all our Master's programs, it meets the quality standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) established by the Bologna Declaration and is therefore officially recognized in all EHEA member states as well as in European Union institutions.
The new edition is scheduled to begin in September 2025 and is primarily aimed at judges, prosecutors, Financial Intelligence Units (FIU) officers, members of law enforcement agencies, and professionals in public and corporate security, both nationally and internationally.
Among other objectives, this Master's program seeks to:
. - Provide advanced, specialized, and multidisciplinary training for investigators and criminal intelligence officers in the field of economic crime.
. - Establish a high-level, standardized training framework and methodology for combating economic crime and money laundering, with an international cooperation perspective.
. - Enable the exchange of experiences among economic crime investigators and share best practices.
. - Equip investigators with advanced research skills for emerging criminal scenarios related to organized crime and the use of new technologies.
. - Deepen knowledge of international police and judicial cooperation tools in the fight against organized crime, corruption, and money laundering.
. - Create a network of leading researchers in the field of economic crime and corruption.
